I saw this one yesterday too, near Istanbul, and thought "meh, makes no sense". Here it is again and now it's trickled my interest. The mode-s address belongs to a Turkish commercial ATR but it's way too high -- twice the ATR's 25k feet service ceiling -- to be an ATR. On the other hand it's way too high and too fast to be a regular hot air balloon either. Why is it being identified as an hot air balloon anyway ? What is this thing ? It makes no sense but it's not a one off : there's something up there. Is Turkey testing some new super special drone-thing ? Listed as military test...for now.Operations
